Hambre? Hombre? Oh – Ombre!

This summer if there is one fashion trend that’s probably going to whip through most of our closets…it’ll probably be ombre long dresses. My sister, Grace, is the ultimate fashionista – I’m lucky enough to be able to “shop” in her closet – we’ve even devised our own “Netflix” where I can borrow a dress and bring it back in a week to change it out again for something else. Thank God for older sisters! 🙂 Ombre is made from organic fabrics, natural dyes that fade from the bottom all the way up, and produced in a solar-powered factory. Think of it as the more sophisticated cousin of tie-dye. Gypsy 05 is already on back-order with these….

Rainbow Labyrinth Light Installation Immerses Visitors in a Technicolor World

Architecture and design firm Brut Deluxe has designed a dazzling light installation for the Luneng Sanya Bay Light and Art Festival in China. This rainbow labyrinth titled Yǔzhòu is an immersive experience that brings visitors inside a technicolor world. Brut Deluxe, which is headed by Ben Busche, focuses their work on everything from ephemeral art installations to industrial design, with an eye toward social and aesthetic qualities.
