Whimsical Tightrope Walking Elephant Made of Thread

Though Paris-based artist Anastassia Elias is well-known for her miniature art created inside recycled toilet paper rolls, she’s also quite talented at creating whimsical art installations like this. For Le Gnie des Jardins, 54 artists were asked to make outdoor works that were both unexpected and original. At the end of September, over the course of a week, four public gardens hosted the artworks. Colbert Square is where you could find Tightrope, a beautiful elephant made of thread, by Anastassia Elias, that measured 200 x 150 cm. Love how the up-close shots show a chaotic arrangement of thread but from far away, all you see is that precariously balancing little elephant.

Sweden’s Iconic ICEHOTEL Is Now Open 365 Days a Year

Sweden’s iconic ICEHOTEL has recently completed a project that will allow it to remain open year-round. Located 125 miles north of the Arctic Circle, the ICEHOTEL has been in operation seasonally since 1989. The hotel is created entirely from snow and ice, and includes 20 guest suites, a bar, and art gallery.
