Finland-based companies Avanto Architects and Kekkil Garden teamed up to produce this modular greenhouse-and-storage-shed combination that can be used as beautiful green space or an enchanting natural escape. The versatile structure – half wood panels, half glass panels – can be enlarged or contracted based on model choice and the owners' needs for space. The covered portion is ideal for storing garden tools, and the glass-enclosed atrium is perfect for cultivating vegetables and flowers. It can even be set up as a delightful “outdoor” bedroom, as the architects suggest with their photo shoot.
The modular design makes it easy to add extra features to further customize the space for nature aficionados. One model, Garden Shed Rest, includes a covered patio between the shed and greenhouse – “for those who like to take time out from gardening and relax with a cup of coffee,” the architects say on their website. Given the elegantly simple design and uncomplicated setup, the possibilities for enjoying nature with this greenhouse are endless.
