Surreal Body Painting Art by Carolyn Roper

Carolyn Roper is a professional make-up artist and body painting artist who’s won multiple awards including World Body Painting Champion and CIBTAC Body Artist of the Year. Based in London, the artist’s work is constantly featured in television advertisements, music videos, magazines and newspapers as well as on CD and book covers. For Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro’s album Puzzle, she created the surreal work you see above, of a man made up of jigsaw puzzles, with one piece missing. The stunning body painting below, of a man covered in crashing waves, was also created for the same project.

If you’re a fan of body painting, The World Bodypainting Festival 2014 begins on June 29 and goes till July 6 in Prtschach, Austria. The world’s best body painters from 45 countries will compete for the title of world champion. More information can be found here.
