Minions Street Art Springs Up in Singapore

“If you riot, riot quiet. It's Singapore after all…,” states Ernest Zacharevic. As part of his month long residency in Singapore, street artist Ernest Zacharevic transformed three drab cement blocks into cute minions in riot gear. (Minions are those small, cylindrical yellow creatures featured in the movie Despicable Me.) Notoriously famous for prosecuting, jailing and even caning those who dare touch its walls, Singapore isn't the easiest place to put up your work. The Lithuanian artist was lucky enough to score popular support from its citizens who happily offered their privately owned buildings to paint on.

You've just got to love the details in this one. The stack of bananas by one minion's feet, the distinct pieces of cloth each one wears, and, of course, the little gory detail on one of them! (Hint: If you're in Singapore and looking for this, it's in Joo Chat.)
