FlipBelt Is the New, Modern Way for Adventurers to Carry Their Belongings

If you're a runner, hiker, backpacker, rock climber, or just an avid adventurer, you know how frustrating and cumbersome it can be to carry all of your essential items–phone, cards, keys, and cash–with you, on an excursion. There are many products on the market that seek to alleviate this nuisance, but they often share similar flaws: the gear is too heavy; the material irritates the skin; the product bounces too much with movement; there's not enough space for your belongings; it clashes with your style.

Here at My Modern Met, we discovered one product that differed from the others–the FlipBelt. We had seen this “fitness running belt” pop up on a few runners' blogs and even some style sites, and decided to check it out for ourselves. (We're always eager to stay on the pulse of revolutionary trends by trying new products that boast life-changing designs.)

Whether you're someone who likes going to the gym or prefers to actively explore the outdoors, FlipBelt offers a modern, stylish solution to several common issues, including its material makeup. It is a 92% Micropoly, 8% Lycra belt that comfortably sits on your waist, without riding up or chafing. The wicking, quick drying material is soft on the skin.

Available in a variety of colors (both bright and black), this unobtrusive fitness belt helps keep ID cards, important medical devices, and more in an easily accessible band around the waist. It's designed to hold anything from your keys and petty cash to your phone and an entire water bottle. It includes multiple slits to easily insert your fundamental belongings right into the band.

We headed to our favorite hiking spot to test its remarkable capabilities out and found that it held true to its claim. In fact, the FlipBelt was not only able to carry a mobile phone, but it comfortably fit an iPhone 6S Plus (currently the largest model of an iPhone).

Its tubular design redefines the shape of a carrier for active people. Instead of the usual backpack or fanny pack–which can prove to be a challenging accessory to stay energized and motivated with, when having to lug it around on your person–FlipBelt offers an easy-to-wear design that affords its user the freedom of movement. Even armbands can feel restrictive, and FlipBelt is a featherweight in comparison.

An added bonus is that a FlipBelt serves its purpose for various activities. You don't need a different accessory for different activities. It's all in one. Whether you're going on a rigorous hike that involves rock climbing or simply going on an outdoor jog, FlipBelt provides a lightweight compartment for a phone or other mobile music device, earphones, a water bottle, an energy bar, and even a secure internal hook for your keys. The belt itself can also be flipped over for added security, blocking all of the openings from being exposed.

In the end, FlipBelt lived up to all of our expectations, and makes for the best means of storage while going on an adventure. Now, wearing a FlipBelt on hikes means not having to worry about carrying a bulky bookbag. Instead, you can just appreciate the beauty of nature all around you.
