Commercial – 3rd Place: Series of 6, Pete McBride

Started in 2008, Fotoweek DC is an annual celebration about the transformative power of photography. It's a week-long series of shows at galleries and museums in and around Washington DC that's centered around photography. At the heart of it, it's also an international competition juried by a a panel that includes collectors, museum curators, dealers and artists.

Though the festivities just ended yesterday, you can enjoy some of the winning shots right here. (Learn more about this event at CNN or The Washington Post.)
