Before you watch Inception, be sure to keep an open mind and expect lots of plot twists and complex storylines, that will keep you begging for more! All I can say is, when the story progressed, it kept getting intense every minute, all the way till the end, and I applaud Christopher Nolan, for coming up with this priceless jewel of a movie he called Inception. One of his finest, definitely!
I had been waiting for this movie for ages, as soon as I saw the first trailer, and I thought to myself, I MUST watch it as soon as it’s out! And I’m so glad I did. This is the type of movie that is thought provoking, and keeps you guessing till the very end, which is a good thing, compared to some dull, predictive and repetitive movies out there.
A lot of people asked me, What is Inception about anyway? Well basically, it’s about a group of skilled people who enters peoples’ dreams to steal(extract) important/confidential details and secrets. Inception however means ‘planting a seed of an idea’ into one’s dream. Sounds interesting enough? You won’t believe that this simple plot could be dragged for 148 minutes (2 hours) of intense storytelling and complex yet intelligent plotlines. But I suggest, the least you know about the movie, the better; because the extra desire to know more will keep you intrigued. I actually read a review on IMDB that somewhat perfectly summarized the movie in a few sentences, and I couldn’t agree more.
“Inception” is an excellent and breathtaking movie that may be one of the only films released so far during the Summer of 2010 that lives up to its hype. It is a nearly perfect and highly original film that holds your attention until the credits roll. The less you know about this movie going in, the more you will be entranced by seeing it. ….That plot summary only covers the basics of this pretty complicated story, but to describe every plot detail would take away the magic of this film you must see yourself to believe. – By D_Burke from IMDB <–Click to read more of his review.
What about the cast’s performance? Excellent and top notch. Each character played an important role in the movie, and I was fairly impressed with everyone. I couldn’t help but drool over Joseph Gordon-Levitt though, as he shows off his acting chops; and Leonardo Di Caprio, I can say is a dedicated actor who is willing to push himself to play his character role seriously. Ken Watanabe, Ellen Page, Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy, and the frighteningly beautiful Marion Cotillard were great in their roles too.
The CGI is just…..awesome! WATCH IT IN 3D IMAX if you can! I didn’t though, so I don’t know how it will turn out, but I can imagine what it’s like when buildings started flipping upside down or when water bursts in slow motion. Expect trippy yet clever staircases and not-there-to-disappoint action. There were some funny moments too; don’t think that this movie is going to be all serious from start to finish, and seriously, just appreciate each and every little well composed scene here.
Lastly, another part of the movie that I really liked and enjoyed, was the music score. I must hand it to Hans Zimmer to come up with such intense music score, not since How To Train Your Dragon’s John Powell and Requiem For A Dream’s Clint Mansell, did I feel moved by it.
Here’s the trailer if you haven’t catch it yet.

Note: Something important to remember; be prepared for twists and you may need to keep up with the pace of the storyline. Some people liked movies that are straightforward and simple, but Inception is so much more than that. You have been warned!
My verdict? I realized, that out of 10, this movie does not deserve a 9. Not even 9.5. Probably a 9.8, but…as I round it off, it will still be a 10. Inception is just nearly perfect!
