Introducing Myself to theMET

I wanted to introduce myself to theMET community. I just joined today and am already fascinated by the enthusiasm and creativity of all of the great posts of art, photography and design and the encouraging comments.

Drawing and painting are my favorite pastimes but I get inspiration for my projects from other artists and creative thinkers, which is why I think I will really enjoy being a part of theMET. I am including my favorite painting I did in 2006. I created a collage of magazine images and painted the collage on a large (36″ x 48″) scale. I think that this painting accurately sums up my personality; colorful, passionate and appreciative of aesthetics, as well as the kind of art that appeals to me.

I hope to get to know everyone here better!
