Rainbow Colored Dripping Map of the World by Mademoiselle Maurice

French artist Mademoiselle Maurice busted out on the art scene in 2012 with her bright and beautiful origami works. The world fell in love with her paper installations that were skillfully placed in patterns along the streets of Paris.

From now till the middle of July, the artist has a solo show at Backside Gallery in Marseille, France. Called Colors are the New Black, the exhibition includes her trademark origami pieces, including photos of installations she's created on the streets, as well as works made with completely different mediums like thread and colored water.

A map of the world was created in the negative space of water that had been poured from above. Below the work, test tubes are neatly lined up in a row, showing you which color the artist used for each individual section. It's a beautifully creative piece that we'd love to see in person.
