Enchanting Fashion Story in Guizhou, China

These photographs are a stunning fashion narrative set within the Guizhou province of China. Created for LIFE Magazine by French photographer Matthieu Belin, the collection highlights a combination of gorgeous Asian-inspired designs with the marvelous backdrops of the surrounding land. Working closely with both male and female models, Belin captures enchanting moments that tell the tales of sleek and elegant beauty.

Based in China, the cultural influences of the country are evident in much of Belin’s work. In addition to Ghizhou, the artist has also featured fashion stories with backdrops in Chengdu, Chongqing, and Shanghai. The artist says, “Working with images echoes my desire to understand the world around me and its people… Exploring consciousness through the eye of possibility, I am unendingly fascinated by the mysteries of form and the surprising secrets they can unveil.”
