Modern Architecture – Sleek, Sexy Concert Hall: Manchester, UK (4 pics)

Zaha Hadid in collaboration with Manchester International Festival and Manchester Art Gallery is set to present a groundbreaking concert hall for their 2009 Festival. Capable of accommodating a small audience of 200 people, the intimate chamber will “create a near-perfect visual and sonic environment,” for a series of nine concerts, in which three internationally acclaimed musicians will perform Bach's solo instrumental works in this sleek, sexy space. “As an articulation of the rhythmic and harmonic range Bach was able to achieve within the mathematical framework of his music, Zaha Hadid Architects' design will explore this multiplicity by developing a coherent integration of formal and structural logic”. -Zaha Hadid
