Multidirectional Face Illusions


Using his Samsung L100 digital camera and Photoshop, Venezuela-based student Jess Gonzlez Rodrguez mixed layers to create some of the trippiest face illusions we’ve seen in a very long time. In fact, not since Ulric Colette’s Genetic Portraits have we been this taken aback by photo manipulated faces.

Simply titled 1/2, the photos ask you to look both straight on and to the side (or for the last picture – top down). By using a blank white wall for the background and by cutting his subjects down in just the right shape, Rodrguez makes us (almost) believe in magic…

Encouraging Letters Written by Outgoing U.S. Presidents to Incoming Successors
