Everyone wants to feel like a princess, and Carol Hladik is now making it easier than ever. The expert crafter has designed a series of magical crochet blanket patterns that’ll transform you into royalty in just seconds. Shaped like elaborate ball gowns, the whimsical cloaks resemble fancy frocks worn by the likes of Cinderella and Belle. Just slip your arms into their sleeves and marvel at how regal you suddenly feel.

To produce the DIY crochet blanket patterns, you’ll need to have some understanding of the technique. Hladik writes that they’re an intermediate level of difficulty and require a size “P” crochet hook. Although she’s created the directions with adults in mind, there are four sizes available—two for grown ups, one for a toddler, and another to fit a child.

Hladik sells the blanket dress patterns through her Etsy shop, CHCreations4U. They're ready for download so you can get started right away. And if you’re looking for another similarly-minded project that will make a splash, try this playful mermaid tail crochet blanket pattern.
