5000 Bicycle Bells Give the Wind a Voice

Sometimes we can hear the wind through the rustling leaves of trees. Artist Ronald van der Meijs wanted to give it more of a voice and so created this audible sculptural installation consisting of 5,000 bicycle bells, resting side by side, on top of steel pins. As the wind picks up, the bells cling softly to each other, like a wind chime. As this is his fourth version, Ronald calls this installation Sound Architecture IV.
