From great pain often comes great artwork. Such is the case with Manabu Ikeda‘s monumental Rebirth, a 13′ x 10′ masterpiece that the artist toiled over for 3.5 years, working 10 hours a day. It’s Ikeda’s largest work to date and is the Japanese artist’s response to the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami that set off the Fukushima nuclear disaster.
Earlier this year, Eugene shared some funny photos of dogs diving underwater to fetch balls. After garnering much attention and praise across the internet, self-proclaimed lifestyle pet photographer Seth Casteel released a book, aptly titled Underwater Dogs, filled with the lovable pooches playfully chasing after a ball into the depths of a pool. New images from the series and book and have been released and they’re just as hilariously adorable as ever.
Each of their determined faces, exaggerated by their wide-eyed gaze and billowing cheeks from their thrust into the water, is too cute and humorous for words! The book is currently available for purchase through several online outlets. Pick it up to see the full collection of funny facial expressions these dogs make underwater.
