Sick Spider Web Installation Made of Packaging Tape (6 pics)

Imagine Spiderman going completely insane and losing control of his web shooters and then look at this crazy art installation by Viennese/Croatian design collective For Use/Numen. Using nothing but nearly 100 pounds of packaging tape, For Use/Numen transforms abandoned attics, galleries and stock exchange buildings into a spider’s cocoon paradise. The coolest part about, of course, is that the installations invites visitors to sit and relax, asking them to partake in the experience.

You can check out one of these installations right now, from June 9–13, at DMY Berlin’s International Design Fair or in September, when For Use/Numen will create a tape installation in a public space in the center of Frankfurt. Also, forthcoming, they’ll take over a five-star design hotel on the Croatian coast.

Of course, you could always make a Home Depot run and create one of these, too!

Reagan was adopted by Oregon resident Sandi Swiridoff when he was just 11 months old.
