Maddie the Coonhound Standing On Things (Part 2)

Earlier this year, we instantly fell in love with Maddie the coonhound as she modeled for her owner, photographer Theron Humphrey, in strange and unusual places. The project, Maddie on Things, features the very photogenic dog standing underneath the Golden Gate Bridge, precariously balanced between the doors of a refrigerator, topping off a large stack of colorful suitcases, and much, much more.

The project began when Humphrey decided to travel around and visit all 50 of the United States in an effort to create another project, entitled This Wild Idea. Since last summer, he successfully met one new person every day for a full year in order to tell their story through photography. What an amazing feat! Fortunately for this artist, he had Maddie as a trusty companion along the journey and created this playful series during their traveling adventures. Sadly, the traveling and the series have come to an end, but here are some of the more recent images from the project. Much love to Maddie, we hope she continues to find fun things to stand on!
