Amazing Bamboo Dome Bound Together Without Any Nails

Wind and Water Bar (wNw Bar) is an incredible venue designed by Vietnamese architect Vo Trong Nghia that's made entirely of bamboo bound together and covered in a local bush plant without the use of any nails. Nghia's use of bamboo exhibits a combination of his cultural Vietnamese background and his architectural education from Japan. The lightweight, flexible material is prominently used to construct the sturdy, environmentally-friendly space and simultaneously offer an eye-catching facade that reflects its natural surroundings in the middle of a lake in Binhduong, Vietnam.

With 48 prefabricated units of bound bamboo structures carefully pieced together, the architecture boasts an intricately assembled frame with an aesthetically pleasing pattern. Standing at 10 meters high and 15 meters wide, the venue offers an accommodating space for visitors that includes natural light and air ventilation through the use of wind power, allowing hot air to naturally rise and escape through a circular opening in the ceiling.
