Our friends over at Babelgum Metropolis just told us about a cool contest they're putting on. They're looking for the globe's best and edgiest artists for the world's biggest art show. Winners will have their work shown on giant advertising screens in Times Square and will win cash prizes. The grand prize winner will receive $20,000, a dedicated artist channel on Babelgum's Metropolis channel, and his/her video will be screened in Times Square. Winners will be chosen by iconic arthouse actress and video artist Isabella Rossellini and Cedar Lewisohn, curator of the 2008 'Street Art' exhibition at the Tate Modern in London. So, get to it friends! The contest is open to artists anywhere in the world, working in any visual medium, but entries will be judged on the basis of a video submitted by the artist. Entries can be video art, or short films on the subject of the artist's work. You have till October 18 2009. Find out more at Babelgum. Good luck!
