With this funky fresh 70's bowling alley series, photographer Kevin Hagell blasts us back to the past – when peace, free love, and disco were high in style. I caught up with Kevin to ask him a few questions about this very groovy set: Where are you from? Can you give us a brief description of yourself? I am from Vancouver, British Columbia. My site is kaizenvisuals. We create photos and videos for marketing and ad campaigns. We work in several industries including fashion, travel, events and resorts. What was your inspiration for the 70's bowling alley series? I was a top bowler when I was younger on the verge of becoming pro, when a freak accident brought my career to a halt. I have always admired bowling as a sport even though it doesn't get the attentions it usually deserves. Where did you find such a cool bowling alley? The bowling alley is called “Grandview Lanes” on Commercial Drive in Vancouver, BC. I have had my eye on it to shoot for years I always assumed the next time I went in they would have gutted the place to “update” it, hopefully that doesn't happen, but if it does I'm glad we got this shoot done before. Where did you find such pretty models? One of the models is my beautiful girlfriend Kelly Ann – she is the brunette. The tall redhead is Ellyse Anderson, and the blond with the curly hair is Stephanie Poato.
