By accident this morning, we stumbled back around to Mark Tipple's Underwater Project and came upon a wonderful surprise. While in the past few years, Tipple has continued to take incredible underwater photos, it's this painting by artist Antoine Renault that really captured our attention.
Here's what Tipple wrote, “A few months ago I received a nice email from an artist asking if he could paint one of the underwater photos. I'm literally useless with a paintbrush, and couldn't really imagine how they would look on a different medium; a few weeks later I was speechless at the results.”
We dug around a bit for the photo the painting was inspired by (see below).
