Jessica Stewart is a Staff Editor and Digital Media Specialist for My Modern Met, as well as a curator and art historian. Since 2020, she is also one of the co-hosts of the My Modern Met Top Artist Podcast. She earned her MA in Renaissance Studies from University College London and now lives in Rome, Italy. She cultivated expertise in street art which led to the purchase of her photographic archive by the Treccani Italian Encyclopedia in 2014. When she’s not spending time with her three dogs, she also manages the studio of a successful street artist. In 2013, she authored the book "Street Art Stories Roma" and most recently contributed to "Crossroads: A Glimpse Into the Life of Alice Pasquini." Ethereal “Ghost” Furniture Merge Design and Technology

Dutch studio DRIFT is known for pushing design boundaries and has been doing so for over a decade, exemplified by 2011's Ghost Collection. This experimental furniture collection, consisting of eight table chairs, two armchairs, and a stool, used 3D technology to create the ethereal designs. The finished pieces appear to have wisps of smoke encased in clear acrylic, adding to their ghostly appearance.

Billowing ‘Orb’ Held Together by Over 200,000 Rivets Casts Dramatic Shadow at Google Campus

Rising nearly 33 feet, The Orb is a centerpiece of Google's Charleston East Campus in Mountain View, California. Created by Marc Fornes of THEVERYMANY, its sculptural design is a beautiful marriage of artistic intent and engineering. The thin aluminum structure, held together by over 217,000 rivets, serves as both a pavilion and a public art installation, blurring the line between art and architecture.

Designer Invents Flying “Superbike” and Takes It for a Ride in the Sky

Past generations dreamed of a hi-tech future filled with individual jetpacks and hover cars zipping by in every direction. Though this may not be a reality (yet), a designer named Tomasz Patan may have an invention that's bringing this ambitious fantasy closer to reality.
