Friend and founder of popular photo blog Petapixel just tipped us off about his latest venture. Bokeh is a new mobile app that lets you chronicle the everyday moments of your life. Using your iPhone, you simply snap a photo and then add a line of text (or not) and moments later it’s up on your Bokeh blog. If you’ve ever wanted your own Tumblr, or a quick, blog-like place to see your photos online, say if you had a creative project and needed to take pictures that gave you inspiration, this app is for you.
To see how Michael’s using it, you can check out his profile, here. You can set your feed to public or private, that’s up to you. The service is 100% free and you have unlimited storage. I just started “bokehing” (here’s mine), and I must say, I love how simple and easy it is to use. Unlike Instagram, since the emphasis on this app is more about documenting your everyday moments rather than sharing, it’s quite liberating. No fancy filters, just a place to keep the stuff that makes you happy or inspires you each and every day.
Gizmodo has a good article on more of its services. Check it out, here.
