Distressed Beauty – Artist Sarah Jonkas (10 Paintings)

Sarah Jonkas is an emerging, young artist who was born in Canada in the mid 80's. Her beautiful oil paintings usually centers around a strong “solo female” character who's face tells a sad and sometimes haunting story. Like Audrey Kawasaki and Stella Im Hultberg, artist Sarah Jonkas is getting a lot of attention these days for ushering in a new and fresh viewpoint into the art scene.

She will be debut in her first solo show, ‘Beneath The Seams' alongside artist Kelly Vivanco's “The Conservatory” at Thinkspace Gallery in Los Angeles on Friday, June 12th. Here are a few of my favorite paintings from Sarah Jonkas.
