Makeup Artist Transforms Herself into Incredible Characters

Elsa Rhae's incredible face paintings truly show off the art of makeup. By simply sitting in front of a mirror and being extremely patient (often for two or three hours), she transforms herself into a number of fantastical creations. Her cheeks, eyelids, and lips are covered in bright pigment, and sometimes Rhae will even go as far to color her hair and neck to extend the illusion of who she really is.

Rhae's work allows her to take on personalities that she'd never be otherwise. We see her as a White Walker, Batman's nemesis The Joker, The Grinch, and much more. Some are beautiful and others are grotesque. Either way, it's really impressive what she accomplishes using her skills and a set of tools.

In addition to these photos, Rhae has a Youtube channel that documents the painting process and the type of makeup that she uses. Watch and be amazed.
