Como parte de la remodelaci&oacute;n del distrito Toranomon-Azabudai en Tokio, el estudio de arquitectura brit&aacute;nico ha dise&ntilde;ado una serie de edificios de uso mixto que, seg&uacute;n Thomas Heatherwick, su fundador, es similar a las &#8220;p&eacute;rgolas de jard&iacute;n&#8221;. Las p&eacute;rgolas fluyen con curvas suaves y onduladas y est&aacute;n cubiertas de plantas para dar un toque de verde al paisaje urbano. En un giro novedoso, varias de las estructuras tienen escaleras exteriores para que el p&uacute;blico pueda subir y atravesarlas por arriba.<\/p>\n<p>Mori Building Company asign&oacute; el proyecto a Heatherwick, y la empresa tuvo que enfrentarse al desaf&iacute;o de construir en una parcela de forma irregular. El sitio, que abarca 8.1 hect&aacute;reas, tambi&eacute;n incluye tres torres creadas por Pelli Clarke Pelli. Heatherwick se dio a la tarea de dise&ntilde;ar la arquitectura, as&iacute; como el paisajismo, los espacios comerciales y el espacio p&uacute;blico, que tambi&eacute;n incluye una plaza de 6,000 metros cuadrados.<\/p>\n<p>Para este proyecto en particular, las p&eacute;rgolas fueron una decisi&oacute;n intencionada que da flexibilidad al espacio. &#8220;Este concepto nos ha permitido llevar una l&oacute;gica general a un pedazo de ocho hect&aacute;reas en Tokio, dejando espacio tambi&eacute;n para instalaciones como viviendas, tiendas, hoteles, spas, una escuela y un templo dentro de las secciones enmarcadas por la cuadr&iacute;cula&#8221;, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.archdaily.com\/923462\/public-redevelopment-for-the-city-of-tokyo-by-heatherwick-studio\">comparte<\/a> Thomas Heatherwick.<\/p>\n<p>El punto focal del dise&ntilde;o es un edificio de 13 pisos con una fachada de vidrio que permite la entrada de luz a los pisos comerciales subterr&aacute;neos. El techo se inclina hasta llegar al nivel del suelo, y est&aacute; lleno de terrazas que ofrecen vistas de los espacios verdes circundantes. En un giro innovador, las p&eacute;rgolas m&aacute;s peque&ntilde;as tienen escaleras que dan acceso a diferentes espacios comerciales que se sit&uacute;an sobre la pendiente. En una ciudad atiborrada de rascacielos, este tipo de piezas arquitect&oacute;nicas de baja altura permite a la comunidad interactuar con los edificios, invit&aacute;ndolos a escalar y pasear por encima de ellos.<\/p>\n<p>Esta idea de interactuar con los espacios es una continuaci&oacute;n de los temas representados en <a href=\"https:\/\/mymodernmet.com\/es\/hudson-yards-heatherwick-studio-vessel\/\"><em>Vessel<\/em><\/a>, la estructura de Heatherwick localizada en Hudson Yards, Nueva York. En esta ocasi&oacute;n, al introducir elementos naturales en la arquitectura y reducir la escala, el estudio se ha inclinado hacia la funci&oacute;n por encima de la elegante calidad escult&oacute;rica que caracteriza a <em>Vessel<\/em>. Aqu&iacute;, los colores suaves y las formas curvas facilitan la integraci&oacute;n de las estructuras en el paisaje urbano. Toques sutiles, como la inclusi&oacute;n de grabados de vidrio hechos con la t&eacute;cnica <em>Edo kiriko<\/em>, ayudan a situar la obra dentro de su contexto cultural.<\/p>\n<p>Tras cuatro a&ntilde;os de trabajo, la construcci&oacute;n del proyecto por fin ha comenzado, y se espera que est&eacute;
