El edificio tiene literalmente la forma de un &#8220;8&#8221; que crea dos grandes patios con filas de unidades a cada lado. La pieza central del 8 permite una clara conexi&oacute;n entre las dos zonas abiertas a ambos lados: un gran parque en uno y el canal en el otro. Este aspecto del edificio tambi&eacute;n alberga elementos comunes para los residentes y cuenta con un dise&ntilde;o que fomenta la interacci&oacute;n entre vecinos. La forma en s&iacute; no solo es est&eacute;tica, sino que tambi&eacute;n aumenta el acceso de luz a cada unidad y ofrece vistas espectaculares.<\/p>\n<p>Ingels describe el proyecto de la siguiente manera: &#8220;M&aacute;s que un objeto arquitect&oacute;nico, 8 House es un barrio tridimensional. Un callej&oacute;n de 150 casas en hilera se extiende por toda la manzana y se retuerce desde el nivel de la calle hasta la parte superior y de nuevo hacia abajo.
