Sin embargo, la cohabitaci&oacute;n o la convivencia pueden hacer esta haza&ntilde;a mucho m&aacute;s factible. As&iacute; lo comprobaron dos madres solteras que decidieron comprar una casa juntas en Washington D.C. Entre el trabajo y la crianza de sus hijos, se dieron cuenta de que no podr&iacute;an hacer frente a la inversi&oacute;n financiera (o a la responsabilidad) por s&iacute; solas, as&iacute; que optaron por compartir sus fondos.<\/p>\n<p>Holly Harper &mdash;que fund&oacute; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anagram-consulting.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Anagram Consulting<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bluebikecommunications.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blue Bike Communications<\/a> y <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sirenfoundry.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Siren Foundry<\/a>&mdash; se separ&oacute; de su pareja a principios de 2018 y, tras un par de a&ntilde;os viviendo en un apartamento, quiso invertir en su futuro. &#8220;Sab&iacute;a que iba a ser imposible encontrar un d&uacute;plex o un condominio en Washington D.C. con mi presupuesto de aut&oacute;noma y madre soltera&#8221;, explica Harper en un ensayo que escribi&oacute; para <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insider.com\/cohousing-single-moms-living-together-benefits-2022-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Insider<\/em><\/a>. As&iacute; que se puso en contacto con su buena amiga, Herrin Hopper, quien tambi&eacute;n es madre soltera. Ambas compart&iacute;an el sue&ntilde;o de tener una vida en com&uacute;n y decidieron lanzarse a la aventura.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Quer&iacute;amos una propiedad multifamiliar que tuviera espacio para dos unidades de tama&ntilde;o similar, sin que ninguno de nosotras durmiera en un s&oacute;tano&#8221;, a&ntilde;ade. &#8220;Tambi&eacute;n quer&iacute;amos estar a poca distancia del transporte p&uacute;blico y en un barrio seguro para que nuestros hijos pudieran jugar&#8221;. Su nueva vida permite a las madres compartir responsabilidades como el cuidado de los ni&ntilde;os y de sus perros, por no hablar de los gastos del hogar. Tambi&eacute;n les permite tener m&aacute;s apoyo emocional que viviendo solas.
