Le photographe allemand Jan Erik Waider<\/a> est connu pour son approche unique de la photographie de paysage. Préférant repérer les formes abstraites qui se cachent dans la nature, il se rend souvent en Islande<\/a> pour produire des prises de vue uniques sur cet environnement souvent photographié. Naturellement, il y a donc fait un saut lorsque le volcan Fagradalsfjall a commencé à entrer en éruption en mars 2021. Là-bas, il a produit sa série LAVA<\/span><\/i>, des gros plans sur le magma et la lave refroidie.<\/span><\/p>\n

Waider s'est positionné dans la vallée de Nátthagi et a pu s'approcher d'une fraîche coulée de lave. À l'aide d'un téléobjectif, il a commencé à photographier les formes et les textures de la lave sous ses diverses formes. En travaillant avec cet objectif, il a pu prendre des images visuellement proches tout en assurant sa sécurité et celle de son équipement.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Ce qui rend l'utilisation des téléobjectifs zoom si spéciale pour moi dans le domaine de la photographie de paysage, c'est la possibilité de trouver des détails vraiment uniques”, a déclaré Waider à My Modern Met. Il a été surpris par le paysage dynamique, alors qu'il observait la lave fraîche suinter la roche en fusion qui était cachée à l'intérieur. Cela a provoqué de nouvelles formes qui ont fourni une source d'inspiration constante pour Waider. “Ce genre de fugacité à la fois belle mais aussi brutale était le charme pour moi”, se souvient-il.<\/span><\/p>\n

En fin de compte, Waider a passé trois jours sur le terrain à rassembler une grande quantité d'images afin d'obtenir des photos avec une lumière et un contraste constants. Les résultats sont fascinants. Chaque photographie est un délice visuel qui met en évidence la diversité surprenante de la lave. Les crêtes et les ondulations de la lave durcissante forment différentes textures, tandis que la lave rouge chauffée coupe comme un couteau à travers le champ visuel. En se concentrant si étroitement sur cet aspect du volcan, Waider montre que la nature peut produire certains des meilleurs beaux-arts.<\/span><\/p>\n
