Les jeunes du monde entier ont &eacute;t&eacute; particuli&egrave;rement touch&eacute;s par l&rsquo;augmentation de l&rsquo;anxi&eacute;t&eacute; et de la d&eacute;pression. Isol&eacute;s de leurs amis et inquiets pour leurs proches, les enfants ont plus que jamais besoin de protection pour leur sant&eacute; mentale. Dans son rapport de 2021 intitul&eacute; <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unicef.org\/fr\/rapports\/situation-enfants-dans-le-monde-2021\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">La situation des enfants dans le monde<\/a><\/em>, l&rsquo;UNICEF a annonc&eacute; qu&rsquo;un enfant sur sept dans le monde (de 10 &agrave; 19 ans) vit avec un diagnostic de trouble de la sant&eacute; mentale.<\/p>\n<p>Le rapport de l&rsquo;UNICEF d&eacute;crit en d&eacute;tail les exp&eacute;riences des jeunes du monde entier. Une grande partie de ce tableau est plut&ocirc;t sombre. Selon une enqu&ecirc;te men&eacute;e par l&rsquo;UNICEF et Gallup dans 21 pays aupr&egrave;s de jeunes &acirc;g&eacute;s de 15 &agrave; 24 ans, un sur cinq a d&eacute;clar&eacute; se sentir d&eacute;prim&eacute; ou d&eacute;sint&eacute;ress&eacute; par les activit&eacute;s (un sympt&ocirc;me de d&eacute;pression). Malheureusement, le suicide est la cinqui&egrave;me cause de d&eacute;c&egrave;s chez les personnes &acirc;g&eacute;es de 10 &agrave; 19 ans dans le monde. Le constat le plus &eacute;tonnant annonc&eacute;e par le rapport est peut-&ecirc;tre la pr&eacute;valence des diagnostics de troubles mentaux chez les enfants. On estime qu&rsquo;un jeune sur sept, ou 13 %, vit avec un diagnostic.<\/p>\n<p>Les donn&eacute;es montrent que le diagnostic est plus fr&eacute;quent au Moyen-Orient, en Afrique du Nord, en Am&eacute;rique du Nord et en Europe occidentale. Cependant, les enfants du monde entier souffrent de troubles de sant&eacute; mentale. Certains risques ne sont pas r&eacute;partis uniform&eacute;ment. Le rapport note en ce qui concerne la d&eacute;pression : &#8220;Les enfants les plus &agrave; risque comprennent les millions d'entre eux qui sont forc&eacute;s de quitter leur foyer, traumatis&eacute;s par les conflits et les adversit&eacute;s graves, et priv&eacute;s d&rsquo;acc&egrave;s &agrave; l&rsquo;&eacute;ducation, &agrave; la protection et au soutien.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Cette image de la sant&eacute; mentale mondiale est inqui&eacute;tante et donne &agrave; r&eacute;fl&eacute;chir. Le manque d&rsquo;investissements dans l&rsquo;infrastructure et les programmes pour prot&eacute;ger l&rsquo;esprit des jeunes est peut-&ecirc;tre encore plus inqui&eacute;tant. Les d&eacute;penses gouvernementales &agrave; l&rsquo;&eacute;chelle mondiale sont minimes en mati&egrave;re de sant&eacute; mentale. Dans les pays pauvres, elles sont encore moindres. L&rsquo;acc&egrave;s est in&eacute;quitable. Ce sous-investissement n&rsquo;est pas une &eacute;conomie, souligne l&rsquo;UNICEF. Ils estiment que le fait de ne pas s&rsquo;attaquer au probl&egrave;me de la sant&eacute; mentale co&ucirc;te au monde 387,2 milliards de dollars am&eacute;ricains. Le potentiel humain est inestimable, mais la quantification des estimations est un point important. Le monde ne peut se permettre d&rsquo;ignorer la souffrance mentale.<\/p>\n<p>Que peut-on faire ? L&rsquo;UNICEF plaide pour &#8220;l&rsquo;engagement, la communication et l&rsquo;action.&#8221; Ces mesures devraient aller des parents aux gouvernements. Au sein de votre collectivit&eacute;, vous pouvez pr&eacute;coniser un financement accru pour les services de sant&eacute; mentale, particuli&egrave;rement ceux qui ciblent les jeunes. Les enfants particuli&egrave;rement vuln&eacute;rables, comme ceux qui vivent dans la pauvret&eacute;, les enfants LGBTQ+ et les r&eacute;fugi&eacute;s, ont particuli&egrave;rement besoin d&rsquo;accepter des services.
