L’astrophotographe Andrew McCarthy<\/a> ne fait jamais de pause. Après une image pour laquelle il a capturé la séquence complète de l’éclipse lunaire partielle<\/a>, il est de retour avec une incroyable photo du Soleil. Comme d’habitude, elle est remplie de détails grâce au volume d’images qu’il a combinées. Au total, 150000 photos ont été utilisées pour atteindre ce résultat final.<\/p>\n

Intitulée Fire and Fusion<\/em>, cette photo de 300 mégapixels met en valeur la surface sinueuse et tourbillonnante du Soleil. À l’aide d’un télescope modifié, McCarthy a pu prendre sa photo la plus détaillée du Soleil. Le résultat est un régal pour les yeux. Des éruptions et des taches solaires sont visibles, montrant à quel point cette boule de plasma est chaotique. Pour McCarthy, le Soleil est une source constante d’inspiration. “Chaque fois que je photographie, je vois différentes formes dans le plasma. C’est fascinant”, raconte-t-il à My Modern Met.<\/p>\n

Fait incroyable, Andrew McCarthy a pu capturer cette photo depuis son jardin en Arizona. En fait, toutes les images qu’il a utilisées pour composer la photo ont été prises en une nuit. Comme toujours, il a dû être patient et s’assurer que l’atmosphère se stabilise avant d'appuyer sur l'objectif. Heureusement, il a obtenu une vue claire à la fin du mois de Novembre et a pu faire de cette photo une réalité.<\/p>\n
