Ses &oelig;uvres textiles nuanc&eacute;es jouent avec la couleur, la ligne, et la texture, elles contestent nos perceptions traditionnelles du crochet comme une forme d&rsquo;art. Sans doute une pionni&egrave;re dans le domaine de l&rsquo;art du crochet figuratif, Hamilton utilise son travail pour commenter les questions complexes qui affligent la soci&eacute;t&eacute; aujourd&rsquo;hui, se concentrant particuli&egrave;rement sur la <a href=\"https:\/\/mymodernmet.com\/fr\/greta-thunberg-petition-onu\/\">crise climatique<\/a> imminente. En fait, l&rsquo;&oelig;uvre la plus r&eacute;cente de l&rsquo;artiste, qui a &eacute;t&eacute; expos&eacute;e en novembre dernier, porte un regard critique sur la relation tendue de l&rsquo;humanit&eacute; avec l&rsquo;environnement et l&rsquo;impact d&eacute;vastateur qu&rsquo;elle a sur notre plan&egrave;te.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Transitory Trespass<\/em> traite de mes sentiments au sujet de la fa&ccedil;on dont la race humaine interagit avec le monde naturel, en l&rsquo;id&eacute;alisant et en le d&eacute;truisant &agrave; la fois&#8221;, raconte Hamilton &agrave; My Modern Met. &#8220;Dans ma pr&eacute;occupation (et ma l&eacute;g&egrave;re obsession) concernant la crise climatique li&eacute;e &agrave; la pollution par le plastique, j&rsquo;ai aussi commenc&eacute; &agrave; recycler le plus possible de d&eacute;chets plastiques pour en faire du &#8220;plarn&#8221; mon travail.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Le &#8220;Plarn&#8221; (contraction de &#8220;plastic&#8221; et &#8220;yarn&#8221;) est un fil fabriqu&eacute; &agrave; partir d'objets tels que les sacs en plastique jetables et d&rsquo;autres d&eacute;chets plastiques courants. Hamilton le fait elle-m&ecirc;me en coupant les poign&eacute;es et le bas des sacs en plastique et en formant des boucles qui sont ensuite nou&eacute;es pour former des fils &agrave; deux brins. L&rsquo;artiste s&rsquo;est engag&eacute;e il y a des ann&eacute;es &agrave; cesser d&rsquo;acheter du fil neuf en raison de la pollution cr&eacute;&eacute;e au cours de son processus de fabrication et de l&rsquo;impact n&eacute;gatif qu&rsquo;elle a sur l&rsquo;environnement. Au lieu de cela, elle utilise seulement son plarn maison et tout fil r&eacute;gulier qu&rsquo;elle peut trouver d&rsquo;occasion.<\/p>\n<p>Cela ajoute une autre dimension &agrave; son travail, qui va au-del&agrave; de simplement commenter sur ce sujet, en devenant une partie de la solution.
