Giant 360 Degree Curtain Art

If you're in London from now till August 29, may we suggest you make a special trip to the Roundhouse to experience Ron Arad's Curtain Call? The artist/designer/architect has built a gargantuan curtain made of 5,600 silicon rods that are suspended from a ring 18 meters in diameter sitting three stories high. Watch as it comes alive through projected films, live performances, and even audience interaction.

Coolest part? Since the rods are translucent, you can see the projections both from inside and outside the circle. Arad has said that “you'll be engulfed by images – a captive, but also a creator”. He says the aim is to be “as inclusive as the Roundhouse is, plus high art, but without the bolshevism of the art market. Kids will love it.”

If you're worried about the cost, you'll be surprised to find out that the venue asks visitors to pay what they want that day. The show is sponsored by Bloomberg.
