VW Bug Sunk in Milk

Doesn't it look like this white car is submerged in milk? Mexican-born artist Ivan Puig plays with perspective and offers alternative ways of looking at ordinary objects. In this installation titled Hasta Las Narices, Puig creates the illusion of a sinking vehicle by revealing only the topmost portion of an ivory Volkswagen Sedan in an entirely white room. The white on white provides an interesting aesthetic appeal that adds to the contradicting simple-complexity of the piece. The blank, simplistic color signifies minimalism; however, the unconventionally composed car is anything but.
