Ethereal Accessories Inspired by Butterflies Delicately Flutter Against Your Skin

Wearing the ethereal creations of Derya Aksoy will make you feel like you're living in a dream. Working under the name Jewelera, the Istanbul-based artist produces necklaces, bracelets, and earrings that are inspired by butterflies and moths. Each piece features clustered layers of their delicate wings that seemingly flutter against your skin.

To create these one-of-a-kind designs, Aksoy first transfers images of real insects onto sheer fabric. She then cuts out each butterfly and moth and carefully arranges them–pairing bright colors with subdued tones–onto antique wire chains and organza cuffs. The results are stunning statement pieces that add a touch of whimsy to any outfit.

Aksoy sells a variety of ready-made accessories through her online shop, but she's eager to create custom designs and color combinations for special occasions. With their light and airy feel, they're perfect for a wedding. See more of the beautiful possibilities on Etsy.
