Cologne-based photographer Kilian Schnberger introduces his viewers to an alternative way of seeing nature in these still shots that could have been taken right out of a daydream. Cloud Forest is a series of monochromatic landscapes that transform leaves and branches into beautiful rows of abstract lines and shapes.
There is a mystical presence mixed into the wispy fog that sweeps across the tree-filled scenes, which were taken in the Bohemian Forest in the Czech Republic. As a color-blind photographer, Schnberger is able to focus on the light, shadows, and textures throughout his compositions. Although he's not able to distinguish between green and red, that doesn't seem to hinder his ability to continuously capture the peacefully mesmerizing wonders of nature.
