Livejournal user Lusika33 trekked to the active volcano complex of Tolbachik on the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia with a few friends and managed to capture the magnificent molten rock flows following its eruption. The thrill-seeking photographer and fellow team of fearless adventurers got remarkably close to the action, setting up their tripods just a few feet away from the actual stream of boiling lava.
The group of risk-taking travel enthusiasts were able to both snap shots of the smoky and sparking eruption of the volcano and catch the mesmerizing fiery storm of molten rock flows as they trailed their way down the range on video. In the video, which is embedded below, the daring explorers can even be seen poking at the cooling lava around them without so much as flinching. Their captured images and video present a rarely seen point of view of this natural and extremely dangerous occurrence that leaves one baffled by their tranquility.
