Miniature Floating Bubble World

This November 12th to December 17th in Los Angeles, California, LeBasse Projects will be hosting Surface to Air, a solo exhibition by Thomas Doyle. This will be a continuation of Doyle's Distillation series which analyzes the uncanny differences between destruction and domestic life.

In Surface to Air, the pieces are small scale models with immense amounts of realistic detail. Doyle sculpts to show how normal domestic life, occurring in an isolated bubble, floats above surrounding destruction. Through this exhibition, Doyle asks its viewers to compare the calmness of family life against destructive surroundings.
