Fun Animal-Themed Bookmarks Silently Lurk Below the Pages to Hold Your Spot

A well-crafted bookmark can make a beloved page-turner even more fun to read. Peleg Design has produced two clever literary accessories that add delightful drama to compelling stories—a lurking crocodile and a looming hippopotamus. The two creatures are fashioned to look like they’re wading just beneath a book’s pages, waiting for the right moment to quietly draw you back into the tale.

Peleg calls these playful creations the Crocomark and Hippomark. Both are divided into two parts: the top half resembles an aerial view of the creature and is visible when the book is closed. The other half features a slim and flattened glimpse of the respective characters that conceal themselves once you’ve taken a break from reading.

Both the Crocomark and Hippomark are currently available on Amazon.
