Photographers Philip Kirkman and Shannon McLaughlin recently ventured out into the streets of New York to put a little twist on the concept of a steamy pin-up calendar. In the NYC Taxi Drivers 2014 Beefcake Calendar, the two photographers feature good-humored taxi cab drivers posing behind the wheel, sitting on the roof of the cab, laying across the backseat, and even blowing kisses.
Kirkman and McLaughlin explain, “These gentlemen put a face to one of the most dedicated workforces in NYC, driving day and night to transport New Yorkers and our guests alike.” The collection is a hilarious spin off of the hunky FDNY calendar that comes out each year.
The amazing endeavor is also great for the city of New York. All of the profits from the sales will benefit University Settlement, the oldest settlement house in the US that provides over 30,000 immigrant and working individuals and families with quality education, decent housing, and a number of other supportive opportunities.
