Blogger Rafael Del Col and his daughter Raisa beautifully celebrated a lost loved one with a heartwarming and memorable photoshoot. Two years ago, Del Col tragically lost his pregnant wife Tatiane Valques in a car accident, along with their second child. After this devastating loss, the grieving husband was left with two amazing memories of his wife: their daughter Raisa and a collection of photographs that were taken one week before their 2009 wedding.
Now, two years after Tatiane's death, Rafael and Raisa decided to honor their lost family member by recreating the couple's pre-wedding snapshots. The only difference is that Raisa took her mom's place so that she could honor her legacy. In the updated photos, the young girl poses as her mom and even wears the same accessories that are shown in the original images. “Really took a bit of work, lasted a few days, but the result was marvelous in my eyes,” the loving dad writes. “I believe [it was] beyond homage to Tati [as a] Mom… It will be a memory that will keep Raisinha forever with you.”
“The necklace that Raisa is wearing is the same as her mother was wearing 5 years ago.”
“Our dog, Raul, is the same as well. I bought this dog for Tati in the beginning of our relationship.”
“Same high heels.”
“I confess that I cried a lot when I watched it and I couldn't watch it only once. The music in the clip is a tribute to Raisa. She sings this song very often (it's second only to “Let It Go” from Frozen).”
