If you did a double-take when you first saw this photo, you're not the only one. Rick Sullivan, the Illinois mechanic who built this Upside Down Truck, says he is greeted with countless stares and a flurry of picture-taking whenever he takes his unique automobile out for a spin—and for good reason. The topsy-turvy car is made of two separate vehicles: 1991 Ford Ranger pickup truck on the road, with a 1995 F-150 pickup truck body placed on top, complete with spinning wheels.
Inspired after he was called to transport an overturned Ford Ranger to his body shop, Sullivan spent six months and $6,000 building the upside-down truck, which is durable and fully functioning. “People are amazed,” he told the Daily Mail. “It's one of those things when you first see it, it's hard to recognize what it is but when you take the second look then they want to pull me over and take a closer look at it.”
