There is an amazing array of wild animals that traverse one log near the home of Robert Bush Sr. For the last couple of years, the wildlife photographer has had a trail cam situated above a stream in the Pennsylvania wilderness. And in that time, he’s seen more than the occasional raccoon traipsing the width of the water. Bears, deer, bobcats, beavers, and a variety of birds are captured on video enjoying their natural habitat—whether it is looking for something to eat or bathing in the stream.
Bush will sometimes compile the footage into supercuts that feature the antics of many animals in one video. But in the Facebook group dedicated to his trail cam footage, he will share much shorter videos that focus on a single animal with a detailed look at its behavior. These one-minute-long (or less) clips offer a different kind of fascination as you observe, for instance, a kingfisher bird enjoying a crawfish as well as a mama bear walking across the log with her cubs close behind. For anyone wishing they could make it outside a little more, it’s a joy to watch unfettered nature captured on camera.
