More Seductive Femme Fatale Paintings by Brian M. Viveros

We knew Brian M. Viveros was someone to keep an eye on when we featured him in the past and fell completely in love with his artwork. The American artist is celebrated as a fetish artist, capturing the sensual side of women in his mixture of oils, acrylic, and inks. With a cigarette hanging loosely from her lips, each of his subjects looks like she is about to–or maybe she just did–kick some serious butt.

Yet, there is a captivating charm in these erotic paintings of the gorgeously seductive women. Each of his figures features mysterious and sensual eyes and partially parted lips, inspiring viewers to linger for a moment with curiosity about the intentions of each steely gaze. Editor Marilyn Jaye Lewis says, “While he'll play up the demon aspects of the Femme Fatale, or the depravity lurking just beneath the surface of the innocent girl, he does so with a sense of awe–as if honoring what's ‘dangerous' in the erotic female form, not fearing it or degrading it.” While the women have a hard shell exterior, Viveros often paints a single tear falling from one eye, which sparks a certain wonder about the emotional side of these women beneath the surface. Ultimately, though, the message is loud and clear: Do not mess with these vixens!
