Super Sleek High Altitude Pod

Forget the traditional ski lodge, think you could sleep in one of these? Designed by Luca Gentilcore and Stefano Testa in Italy, the LEAP (Living Ecological Alpine Pod) is a modern take at prefab outdoor shelters. All materials used in its production are recyclable and great care is taken to make sure the shelters have as little impact on the environment as possible. Built off site, LEAPs are actually helicoptered into their desired sites.

LEAPs are designed to withstand intense altitudes and weather conditions. On the outer shell, each is outfitted with photovoltaic film so it can power the technology installed inside even during inclement weather. The interiors are designed to provide the necessary amounts of comforts, as well as be highly durable and hygienic.

There are several different modules that can be arranged in a number of ways for the best performance in the given environment. In a typical LEAP there's a living/dining room, room for six, solar panels to keep everything working, and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
