Photos of a Fragmented Man Reflects Inner Turmoil

Defragmentados is a series by photographer Yago Partal that features fragmented men, in the most literal sense of the word. Each image in the Barcelona-based photographer's collection depicts these incomplete figures as digital renditions of a man whose image is either loading up or disappearing into himself, leaving one to question the true meaning behind the work.

Like so many artists before him, Partal touches on the inner struggles of man in a creative way. The photographer visually interprets the idea of feeling incomplete by displaying his subject with missing pieces. From entire limbs being absent to just bands of skin separating two body parts, Partal creates a schism in connectivity within one man. The whole is divided to reflect inner turmoil.
