Jessica Stewart is a Contributing Writer and Digital Media Specialist for My Modern Met, as well as a curator and art historian. Since 2020, she is also one of the co-hosts of the My Modern Met Top Artist Podcast. She earned her MA in Renaissance Studies from University College London and now lives in Rome, Italy. She cultivated expertise in street art which led to the purchase of her photographic archive by the Treccani Italian Encyclopedia in 2014. When she’s not spending time with her three dogs, she also manages the studio of a successful street artist. In 2013, she authored the book 'Street Art Stories Roma' and most recently contributed to 'Crossroads: A Glimpse Into the Life of Alice Pasquini'. Slumbering Woman’s Dreams Come to Life in Iris Scott’s Enchanting Finger Painting

Innovative finger painter Iris Scott has released an evocative new artwork in her signature style. Goddess of Dreams depicts a woman resting on a tree in a forest illuminated by fireflies. She wears a dress embroidered with cranes, and if we look closely, we can see one of the birds breaking free from the fabric and floating into the air.

Unique Playing Cards Celebrate the Art of Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat

The friendship between Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat is well documented. Born just two and a half years apart, the artists became close friends as they evolved their unique styles, disrupting the contemporary art world and rising to prominence in 1980s New York. Reuters and AP Photographers Win 2024 Pulitzer Prizes for Exceptional Photojournalism

The Pulitzer Prize Board has honored the photography staffs of Reuters and the Associated Press for their outstanding work. The Reuters staff was recognized with the 2024 Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News, while the Associated Press was awarded the 2024 Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography. Since 1917, the Pulitzer Prize has been handed out to honor exceptional achievements in American “journalism, arts, and letters.

Yoko Ono’s ‘Refugee Boat’ Invites Visitors To Participate and Spreads a Powerful Message of Hope

First conceived in the 1960s, Yoko Ono's Add Colour series invites people to participate in creating a collective piece of art. With Add Colour (Refugee Boat), currently installed at London's Tate Modern, Ono asks us to think about the power of collective action in relation to today's immigration crisis. The current iteration, which is part of the Tate's YOKO ONO: MUSIC OF THE MIND exhibition, began with a white boat in a white room.
