For this reason, the female empowerment podcast Nevertheless dedicated a series of posters to innovative women in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math (also known as STEM). The STEM Role Model series celebrates accomplished women from across the globe, whose names have gone underappreciated. Among them are astronaut Dr. Mae Jemison, biotechnologist Dr. Hayat Sindi, and robotics pioneer Dr. Cynthia Breazeal.

Sculptor Creates Detailed Miniatures of Philadelphia and New Orleans’ Gritty Architecture

Philadelphia-based artist Drew Leshko is creating a sculptural archive of the city's most at-risk architecture with his detailed scale models. Working primarily in paper and wood, Leshko produces these miniatures with love and care in order to preserve the history of Philadelphia's grittiest neighborhoods. From local dive bars to pawn shops and convenience stores, each commercial space is transformed into an artistic sculpture that is filled with nostalgia.

Wynwood Walls Celebrates 10 Years of Transformative Street Art in Miami

When real estate mogul Tony Goldman stumbled upon the Miami neighborhood of Wynwood in 2009, he was able to see something that others couldn't. Over the course of 10 years, Goldman's vision transformed the area's anonymous warehouses into blank canvases for some of the world's best street artists.
