Disney Princesses Creatively Reimagined as Modern-Day Millennials

We’ve seen many creative Disney interpretations recently, including iconic princesses reimagined as empowered career women, Renaissance paintings, and even Game of Thrones characters. The timeless appeal of Disney princesses has also inspired the work of Kiev-based illustrator Daria Artemieva who shows how these fairytale characters would look like if they were modern-day millennials.

Geometric Sculptures Give the Boston Seaport a Colorful Makeover

Spanish street artist Okuda San Miguel has brought more color to the streets of Boston with his largest public art project to date.  Air Sea Land is an installation composed of seven large-scale permanent sculptures that have transformed the Boston Seaport with their kaleidoscope of colors. Ranging between eight feet and twelve feet tall, the artworks were installed on alternate medians along Seaport Boulevard, creating an art corridor that brightens the urban landscape.

Repairman-Turned-Artist Crafts an Eye-Catching Dome Using Recycled Bicycle Wheels

In 1994, Vancouver-born bicycle repairman Philippe LeBlond relocated to Yukon, a Canadian territory known for its beautiful scenery. While he made this move to set up shop and enjoy nature, he wound up discovering—and eventually joining—a thriving arts community in the small town of Whitehorse. Merging his mechanical interests with his newfound creativity, LeBlond began crafting sculptures out of old bicycle parts, including a recent dome made out of recycled rims.
